When asked for his first thoughts on the success of the 2011 Sign Africa show Keith Solomon, Director of Antalis said, “It’s not often that I am worried at a lack of sleepless nights! This year was the smoothest set up for the show I’ve ever experienced – which is some feat considering we’ve exhibited for 13 years now.”
For the second year running Antalis won second place as the Best Large stand (55sqm and bigger) which ably handled the 6 340 local and international visitors, effectively representing a 15% increase from last years attendance, that were attracted to the three day show.
What’s more the professional stand, expertly designed and assembled by Concept G, proudly displayed the wide range of brands Antalis represents including but not limited to internationally recognised names such as Epson, Hexacomb, Natura, Hahnnemühle and A Berger.
Looking like a full production environment with so many machines being demonstrated this year the company also used the opportunity to launch Teco Media, Yupo Tako adhesive-free graphics material. This unique product makes use of a micro suction structure allowing it to stick to flat surfaces without adhesive. The face film is 100% recyclable and can be reapplied.
Not content with taking the Sign Africa show in their stride Antalis also hosted the largest contingent of Kodak executives Worldwide during the week and then invited the Industry’s media giants to a breakfast at the Michelangelo Hotel on Thursday, 25 August.
“Philip Cullimore, Gustavo Oviedo, and Komal Sharma shared their considerable collective expertise with our media guests during a fairly relaxed but highly informative session last week. “ continued Solomon.
“It was incredibly satisfying to be in a position where we could host these industry leaders who are so generous with their time and knowledge. To hear all three of them, on separate occasions, share how impressed they were with the printing industry here in South Africa was music to my ears!
