Antalis attracts yet more market leaders in their quest for market share- 19-09-2011
Antalis South Africa (Pty) Ltd are proud to now claim Ian Basset, former Operations Director for Creda Communications, as one of their own!
Ian has stepped into his role as Antalis Regional Manager for the Western Cape with aplomb and, in just a few short weeks, has some clear goals in site.
“Ian’s reputation as being highly motivated, energetic and hands on is proving to be more than accurate. This zealot barely had his feet under the desk before he was discussing goals for the upcoming Sign Africa show!” shared Keith Solomon, Director of Antalis.
“There is a clear gap in the market, in the Western Cape, and one which we believe Ian will ably fill by partnering with service providers and cementing Antalis as a provider of choice within the region.” continued Solomon. “Our goal for Ian, in terms of the upcoming Sign Africa show, is to introduce to him as many clients as possible – we believe in the necessity of strong networks. What’s more Ian will be able to develop a strong association with his colleagues because the show is a wonderful team-building opportunity. All in all the timing could not have been better.”
“Being part of the print industry for many years has enabled me to gain significant experience – it’s challenging at times but never without tremendous reward. When the opportunity to join Antalis was presented to me I jumped at the chance to further hone my skills.” said Basset. “I am particularly keen to expand my horizons within the digital market,, electronic workflow and process automation fields. I believe we can offer additional benefits to our customers in terms of cost savings and improved productivity. Considering all of these are core values to Antalis, I know I’ve made the right decision.
For me Antalis has always stood out as World-Class. They – or should I say we – have an excellent customer base and run from a truly solid management base which, in these turbulent times, says a lot about the structure and nature of the organisation.
“I have really embraced the pay off line of ‘Just ask Antalis’ because, for me, it wholly embraces the approach that the organisation stands for. No request is too big or too small and, in more instances, the request never needs to happen such is the pro-active nature of the company. I am thrilled to have an opportunity to further my career with Antalis and I am proud to have, so quickly, be given the opportunity to spread my wings so to speak.” shared Basset.
When asked about a work life balance Ian proudly speaks of his family with whom he spends as much time as possible. Proud parents of two young girls the Bassets are rarely without weekend sports commitments but, as often as possible, they head out of Cape Town – long since considered home – to their Tankwa Karoo farm where they can really enjoy quality time together.
However, Ian is quick to point out, “Work is a considerable focus at the moment. Having been provided with the opportunity to make my mark with Antalis I will leave no stone unturned.”
