Antalis and Screenline working on the art of screen and digital printing
Its not often that we receive a second order almost before the ink is dry on the first one but Screenline did just that! They were so ‘blown away’ with their first EFi Vutek that they felt strongly a second, larger, machine was the only way to go.” shared a thrilled Keith Solomon, Director of Antalis.
Screenline is a well-established screen and digital print company based in Johannesburg. The family run business has their sites set firmly on being the leading, award winning graphics printer in their industry. That said the health and safety of their employees is paramount as is their responsible management of their environmental impact.
“During the first quarter of this year and having done much research we made our first Vutek purchase. Our research indicated that the range has a reputation for speed, high productivity and exceptional colour quality. What’s more they are diverse enough to print on a variety of substrates with pure consistency and durability.” shared Neil de Greef, General Manager of Screenline.
“Once we realised the significant impact the equipment would have on our outputs we soon realised that we would be able to diversify even further if we purchased a second machine – we could then separate the processes and speed up the outputs. Our second installation was for the Efi Vutek QS3220 which is just that much bigger and faster whilst still maintaining the exceptional quality outputs we’ve become very happy with!”
Since 1971 Screenline has been a leading manufacturer of screen printed outdoor/indoor advertising serving both small and large businesses. The true speciality of the company is screen and digital printing; an experienced team marrys old fashioned printing techniques with new print technologies.
“This business is in our blood; our father began the company in the early seventies and initially imported plastics and related machinery from Europe to be resold in South Africa. Over time this side of our business closed allowing us to focus completely on becoming a speciality screenprinter.” said de Greef who, with brother Nico as Marketing manager, run a tight and highly effective business.
“I think it’s the family approach that bonds us to Antalis, we have great respect for the industry expertise but it’s more than that. Both Antalis and Screenline have a strong sense of family which translates into high regard for loyalty both towards employees but also suppliers. There is a genuine care and concern for the success of our future and, for this reason, we will proudly continue working with Antalis well into the future.” concluded de Greef.
