Antalis South Africa (Pty) Ltd producing yet more Management potential - 22-07-2011
Celebrating our 11th year of co-hosting the Antalis Management Development Programme.
“I am immensely proud to be standing here, celebrating our 11th year of co-hosting the Antalis Management Development Programme. Once again we are surrounded by exemplary students in a year that saw the largest class ever since the programme’s inception in 2001!” said Dave Haldane, Managing Director of Antalis.
On Thursday, 13 May 2011, Antalis hosted the annual Management Development Programme award ceremony, during which the participants of the 2010 programme were recognised for their commitment. “It goes without saying that a programme of this magnitude could not be as successful as it continues to be, without extensive participation and support from both PIFSA and GIBS not to mention our internal team ably led by Penny Riseborough. The effort and commitment by all involved ultimately led 2010 to house a class of over 40 students. The feedback I’ve received from the attendees was that the course really opened their eyes to many of the essential tools required by any manager in order to be successful.” continued Haldane.
The course, held over three consecutive and intensive days, offers employees from the printing and allied industries the opportunity to build on their past experiences, gain extensive practical business knowledge and network with representatives from the industry in general.
This year Antalis provided 5 of their employees, in whom they identified great potential, the opportunity of attending the course. These staff represented the IT, Distribution, Credit Control, Sales and Graphics Divisions highlighting the diversity that this course offers.
University lecturers and professors present the content covering topics such as Financial Management for the Printing Industry, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Leadership, People Management and Customer Relationship Management but the content is pitched at a level so that the ‘person in the street’ will have a complete grasp of what is presented.
Antalis South Africa (Pty) Ltd has always been interested in the well being and improvement of managerial standards. The sponsorship that Antalis provides enables PIFSA to offer this course at a significantly reduced rate, which, again, opens this up to a far more people than would necessarily be able to afford it without the sponsorship.
“To me one of the greatest testimonies of this course is when I see people return more than once because, one of the objectives of this programme is to help managers get a better understanding of both current and future economic and social environments.
In addition the programme helps managers accelerate change in their organisation, it equips them to work with and through their team, as well as provide a highly interactive learning environment and address provocative issues that are currently concerning both the print and allied industries.”
“I know I speak for all involved when I say that I can and do highly recommend the Antalis Management Development Programme. Over the last 10 years I have seen exponential growth in every single person who worked through this content. I look forward to standing here, this time next year, to see who will leading the Print and Allied industry into the future having attended the 2011 course. Well done all involved.” concluded Haldane.
